Underhood Fire Extinguisher
The Firetrace Fire Suppression System is designed to instantly detect and extinguish fires inside an engine compartment-even without electricity or another power source.
The system, introduced by Firetrace International, is completely self-contained and automatically dispenses a suppression agent to extinguish an open flame at the source. It features flexible polymer tubing that can be routed anywhere within an engine compartment or other enclosed space measuring 250 cubic feet or less. The tubing ruptures when exposed to an open flame, releasing various types of fire suppression agents.
