XTRA Lease adds new tracking, messaging services
XTRA Lease
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (June 12, 2002) — Trailer leasing and rental company XTRA Lease has issued a new version of its trailer tracking software that will provide more frequent updates on the location and use of equipment.
FleetView 2.09 will double the number of times the tracking equipment reports in each month. This new call-in schedule, with a minimum of 30 reports, will provide rental customers with more frequent data on utilized trailers, the company said. If a trailer is idle, the FleetView “Inactivity Report” displays call-in information every other day. Trailer tracking on over-the-road vans remains a free service to all XTRA Lease rental customers.
XTRA Lease also announced Emergency Track, an option to locate a trailer, execute short interval tracking, and receive e-mail notification when the tracking device calls in instead of having to access information via the Internet.
In addition, lease customers will have the option to view up-to-date trailer message counts on the new Asset Messages report. This report displays how many calls each of the customer’s trailers have made during the current month and allows the customer to proactively manage their per-trailer call volume.
