Fifty kilos of cocaine seized from truck
SURREY, B.C. — Border inspectors made one of the largest cocaine seizures in Canadian history when they discovered nearly 50 kilograms of the narcotic in a deadheading semi.
Officials say the drugs were discovered hidden in the sleeper of an otherwise empty tractor on June 20.
The truck was scheduled to return today to the Vancouver area after hauling a load to California, customs officials told media.
