SARM gets new leader
REGINA, Sask. — Former Cabinet minister, Neal Hardy, has been named the new president of the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM).
The 67-year-old political veteran was the only nominee for the position when nominations closed Wednesday afternoon.
Hardy will be replacing Sinclair Harrison, who gave up the post after an eight-year tenure at the helm. Hardy’s experience includes a former portfolio of rural development.
SARM is the voice of Saskatchewan municipalities, an active group overseeing the maintenance of many rural highways.
