RED DEER, Alta. — The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) is preparing to elect a new president-elect and two directors at large.

The election will take place at the second annual general meeting on Apr. 30 in Red Deer, Alta.

A slate of nominees has already been prepared by the AMTA Board of Directors, however there is still time to nominate new candidates for the available positions.

Nominations must be submitted in writing to the president no later than 5 p.m. Apr. 24.

The two directors at large will be elected for a two-year term, while the president-elect will hold the seat for three years — the first year as president-elect, second year as president and the third as past-president.

To nominate a candidate for either position, contact the AMTA at 403-243-4161 or visit its Web site at www.amta.ca.
