Truck World returns with GreenTech stage, Garage demonstrations, global exhibitors; FTR’s Starks to deliver keynote at VIP Breakfast
Finding ways to control costs through sustainable practices, maintain equipment longer, and make informed fleet decisions will be at the center of Truck World when the show returns to the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont., April 16–18.
Canada’s biggest trucking industry event will bring fleets, suppliers, and industry professionals together for three days of equipment and services showcases, education, and networking.

With fleets facing cost pressures and ongoing market uncertainty, bringing the industry together this year is particularly important, said Joe Glionna, president of Newcom Media, which owns and produces the show.
“Every edition of Truck World reflects where the trucking industry stands and where it’s heading. Now, fleets are focused on cost control, asset longevity and smarter decision-making. And this year’s show highlights practical solutions, technologies and strategies designed to support those priorities, helping businesses operate more efficiently today while preparing for 2026 and beyond,” Glionna said.
Thierry Quagliata, Truck World and ExpoCam show manager at Newcom Media, added, “With this economy, it’s even more important for the industry to gather at the show and have discussions, finding the best suppliers, the best products and technologies, and coming up with the solutions to help each other.”
He says 450 exhibitors have already booked space for the 2026 show, with attendance expected to approach pre-pandemic levels of almost 11,000 visitors, matching turnout seen in 2024. Some major truck and trailer manufacturers are returning to the show floor alongside a growing number of new and international exhibitors.
VIP Breakfast with FTR
Truck World 2026 will kick off on April 16 with a VIP Breakfast, where Eric Starks, chairman of FTR Transportation Intelligence, will deliver a keynote speech.
Starks will provide Canadian fleet executives, equipment suppliers and other industry leaders with a data-driven outlook on the forces shaping trucking.
His presentation will examine trade and tariffs, the U.S. economic outlook, truck and trailer demand through 2026 and beyond, and how stepped-up U.S. enforcement initiatives could influence trucking capacity.
Garage
For the first time Truck World will feature a Garage section – a dedicated repair shop space with a truck on a lift and product showcase demonstrations that cover tire service, brake refurbishment, and shop equipment technologies.
Industry associations, suppliers, and schools are expected to participate.

The Ontario Tire Dealers Association, for example, will be offering a live tire replacement demonstration. Students from participating colleges — Centennial, Conestoga, Fanshawe and Mohawk — will take part in live demonstrations as well.
Quagliata said the space is designed not only for experienced technicians but also to attract younger audiences and those considering careers in vehicle maintenance, as a shortage of heavy-duty technicians has been a long-standing issue in trucking.
GreenTech conference returns to address sustainability, efficiency
Following its debut in 2024, Truck World’s GreenTech stage returns with a new program focused on lowering operating costs through sustainable practices.
The sessions will focus on operational and technology-focused topics, including the future of freight using hydrogen and battery-electric powertrains; yard logistics and vocational applications; decarbonized urban delivery; artificial intelligence and automation in fleet operations, and corporate sustainability strategies heading into 2026.

Other sessions will dive into smart trailer technologies integrating power, data, and airflow; eco-driving through both high-tech coaching and driver training; eliminating idling; circular maintenance practices such as retreading and rebuilding; and electric vehicle charging infrastructure and implementation challenges.
A ride-and-drive feature will also return, and, according to Quagliata, attendees with a valid AZ license will have the chance to test alternative-fuel trucks.
International suppliers and new exhibitors
He added that more trucks and trailers are expected on display compared with previous shows, as several new and returning exhibitors are expected on the show floor this year.
This includes Tesla with its Tesla Semi electric truck; Ford, which is returning after several years away; Workhorse; Hyundai with its Xcient truck, and Breadner, which will appear with a Hyundai Translead trailer. Major OEMs such as Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Volvo will return to exhibit.

Attendees can also expect to see brake component refurbishment equipment from Brake Beaver, as well as tools and service equipment from suppliers such as SAF-Holland, Stemco, Chicago Pneumatic, Hunter Engineering, and more.
Truck World continues to draw increased interest from international suppliers, Quagliata added, saying that exhibitors from China, Sweden, Finland, France, India, Ireland, and Taiwan are set to exhibit at the show.
A 1600-sq.-ft. Turkish pavilion will return this year, too, featuring multiple suppliers from the country.
Recruitment opportunities, outreach and networking
Recruiters from major fleets will again be present across the show floor, providing opportunities for drivers, technicians, other industry professionals, as well as those looking to join the industry for the first time.
A South Asian radio station will broadcast live from the show.
Truck World will conclude with a hat giveaway on Saturday morning — an already traditional event at the show — where attendees and their families can get free, branded hats donated by OEMs, suppliers and other leading industry players.
