WILLOUGHBY, Oh. — The Sterling Acterra is now available with a crew cab featuring the industry’s largest interior passenger compartment, the company says.

Measuring 113 inches from the front to the rear inside cab wall, the new option will enhance the quality and comfort of the truck, says John Merrifield, senior vice-president, sales and marketing for Sterling Truck Corporation.

“Whether the trade is construction, utility work, municipal service or firefighting, the Sterling Acterra Crew Cab will perform on the job site while getting the crew there and back in comfort,” says Merrifield.

The Acterra Crew Cab comes with a choice of diesel engines and transmissions and features a 163-inch BBC measurement. It’s available with a gross vehicle weight rating of up to 46,000 lbs.

More headroom and legroom is available in the crew cab, thanks to a flat floor and a tall concave steel roof. The truck seats five people comfortably and an air-ride suspension improves ride quality, the company says.
