Canadian drivers to compete for top honours

WINNIPEG, Man. — Thirty-eight truck drivers from across Canada are slated to compete in the 2003 National Truck Driving Championships Sat. Sept. 6.

The six-class competition will be held in Red River Exhibition Park, in Winnipeg, Man.

The driving skills event is set to kick off at 9 a.m.
Provincial Champions from across Canada will be in Winnipeg to compete in six classes, for the Team Award, the Grand Champion Award, and the Rookie of the Year Award. Admission to Exhibition Park is free.

The Awards Banquet will take place later the same day at the Greenwood Inn, at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $50.00 each and available from the Manitoba Trucking Association office.
