Raydan’s Air Link offered by Schwing America
EDMONTON, Alta. — Concrete and construction equipment manufacturer, Schwing America, is now offering Raydan’s AirLink suspension for tandem rear at the factory level.
“We’re very pleased that Schwing is utilizing the availability of the AirLink at the Mack Trucks, Inc. factory level on their Granite package trucks,” says Ray English, president and CEO of Raydan Manufacturing. “We’ve been working with Schwing for a few years now, and the response to the AirLink air ride suspension from the concrete industry has been very positive.”
Schwing customer Carr Bros Inc. has begun equipping its mixers with the AirLink walking beam air suspension.
“Two years ago I said, ‘No way we’ll ever run a mixer equipped with an air ride’,” says Jeff Sweet,
fleet maintenance manager for Cleveland, Ohio-based Carr Bros. “Now we have four units equipped with the Air Link, and they’re working excellent for us. The drivers love them and the suspension doesn’t beat up the mixer, which, in the long run, saves us time and money.”
Meanwhile, English says the first all air ride-equipped redi-mix truck, unveiled at Truxpo last October, continues to spark interest among customers and OEMs.
“This unit sparked the interest of almost all major truck manufacturers, and we have ongoing orders in the system as a direct result,” he says.
