PORTLAND, Ore. — A delegate at the recent American Trucking Associations convention in Orlando has been awarded with a Freightliner Cascadia.

Nick Goodell, director of The TruckGuardian Group for Pittsburgh-based ThoughtDrivers was randomly chosen from a list of 175 registrants who viewed a presentation on the Cascadia and Detroit Diesel’s new DD15 engine.

In Goodell’s role with The TruckGuardian Group, he provides safety and risk management solutions for private and for-hire fleets. He plans to use the Cascadia as a marketing and promotional tool for fleet providers and will take the truck on the road for safety training presentations at the wheel, Freightliner announced.

He suggested he may eventually use the truck for fleet rentals.

“The Cascadia will help us promote business opportunities for our customers by providing a mobile demonstration of the safety and risk solutions we offer,” Goodell said. “Both my company and I will benefit from this opportunity. I couldn’t be more grateful.”
