With myself being an Immigrant myself to begin with, it seems all these types of Crimes are being committed by us Immigrants.
Why do that?
You can have a great life here, without crime.

Problem is they are used to doing crime in their home country and figure why not here as well It’s just sad that this is what gives truckers a bad name – and it’s not right … they are our backbone of this country that feeds / clothes / brings us all medicine / etc – treat them with the respect that they deserve and weed out the thorns and put them in the compost
Lock him up and keep him there – then when his sentence is completely finished deport him
Don’t give him bail as he will flee the country then
Enough is enough
Probably out on bail, and will be allowed a plea bargain for being a nice fellow who has a wife and kids!!!!!!!!
Send him back to India
Well now doesn’t this sound nice and normal???
I’ll bet the driver was released just like the other ones….
Well prove me wrong… Was he?
And he had a Canada Wide driving suspension.
Do things look like they are getting worse or what??
I am afraid to ask since the driver had a Canada Wide driving suspension did he have any other issues??
Problematic Commercial Driver’s License, Improper training, Canadian Status issues?? etc…
The truck was stolen on December 21 and the trailer was stolen on the weekend of December 20.
I wonder what truck was used to originally steal the trailer?
Since he hooked to a stolen trailer was the trailer loaded with product?
And he chose to ram the police blockade.
I wonder if the number of and the charges were all from this episode or was this driver doing this for a period of time?
I wonder if the answers will come out?
I also wonder if this is going to be the “normal”these days?
We will have to see what 2026 brings I guess.
A high risk criminal working within the trucking industry that needs to be incarcerated and then deported if our justice system is to protect Canadians.
I thought while I was on here to inform you folks that MTO gave away their job of driver training and allowed Serco UK to do this job. Serco deceided to allow new drivers to be allowed to learn how to drive in Canada in 32 languages. What we now have is thousands of drivers, car and truck, who do not speak English nor can they read English. How safe is that? A truck driver who cannot read English cannot complete the pre-trip inspection and therefore does not do the inspection. Since 255 of OOS is due o brake defects. I have ben trying to get MTO to get rid of this dangerous practise but no one is answering the phone. I believe the OPP are looking into this. If you think allowing non English drivers on the road is not safe, then lets tell our MPP’s to do their job.

I was at a Serco drive test centre. While I was waiting for my test results, a fellow went to the counter with another man. He said his cousin did not speak or understand English and couldn’t read it and was writing his commercial truck and air brake test, could he translate for him? They agreed.
I was still waiting when they finished and the man he went with said something to him in an unfamiliar language and left. Hmmmmm. How could he communicate with the staff?
While he was standing there, a lady came in and asked him if he knew what to do? He told her in perfect English to see on the computer screen why she was there, punch the appropriate button, take the ticket and then wait until they called it. She thanked him.
They called my number and I told the clerk about the swindle and identified the man who couldn’t speak, read or understand English. Said he had just written tests for commercial truck and air brake with a fake interpreter. He said, ‘So what? Who cares?’!
I asked if I could bring someone to help me the next time and he told me I couldn’t do that. If they don’t seem to care, how deep does the rot go and how many commercially licenced drivers don’t belong out on the roads? They are already dangerous as it is without adding to the danger.

I don’t understand how our legal system can continue to let criminals out on bail that have shown time and time again by their actions that they have no respect for the Law.
I am just happy that this officer was not standing beside his cruiser.
It obvious that this criminal needs to be behind bars.
I doubt that this incident or any of the previous incidents that led up his Canada Wide Driving Suspension has taught him anything.
The fact that he is not locked up is the real crime here.
