Timpte has launched two new e-commerce platforms for direct customer sales of selected products and aftermarket products.

The new sites include the Thunder Armor store, which sells the company’s aluminum truck bed covers, and the Timpte Equipment Trailer store, which sells aluminum equipment trailers and related products.

The platforms are intended to give customers another way to purchase Timpte products, while continuing to support the company’s dealer and customer support center network.

“Our customers’ needs are evolving, and so are their buying behaviors,” said Tim Carpenter, president and CEO of Timpte. “These platforms allow us to meet customers where they are while maintaining the strength of our traditional channels. It’s about creating more ways to do business with Timpte.”

The Thunder Armor platform features premium aluminum truck bed covers manufactured by Timpte’s Thunderstone Manufacturing division. The site helps customers identify the correct product for their vehicle and purchase it online.

The Timpte Equipment Trailer Store is designed to simplify the buying process for commercial and consumer customers, with product selection, transparent pricing and direct online purchasing.

“The ability for us to transact directly with our customers in this fashion allows us to better serve and communicate with the market,” said Dean Powell, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Timpte. “Our quality, durability, and now speed to market are advantages that will continue to set our products and services apart from the competition.”

Matt Ondrejko, director of marketing at Timpte, said the new platforms represent an evolution for the company as it expands beyond its core dry bulk trailer business.

“While our core dry bulk trailer business continues to be built on strong relationships through our dealer and Customer Support Center network, we recognized an opportunity to better serve customers seeking equipment trailers, truck bed covers, and aftermarket solutions through a more direct and accessible digital experience,” Ondrejko said.
