CSA System Works, Statistics Show

PORTLAND, OR — Compliance Safety Accountability (CSA) works.

“The number of violations found at roadside inspections isn’t just falling, it’s plummeting,” commented Steve Bryan, the CEO of the Oregon-based trucking data experts Vigillo.

According to Vigillo’s statistics, there has been a 17-percent decline in violations since 2010, from about 600,000 violations per month to under 500,00.

“There may be problems with CSA itself, but if the aim of the program was to make the trucking industry safer; with better pre-trips and fewer violations, statistics show that it’s working,” he told todaystrucking.com.
