HOW’S THAT ALLISON TC10 WORKING OUT FOR ERB?

You may recall some time ago I drove an Erb International ProStar with Allison TC10 automatic transmission.

Jim Pinder, corporate fleet director with Erb Group, said he’d be closely monitoring the fuel economy of the trucks and with that in mind, I followed up with him yesterday to see how they’re performing. Here’s what he had to say:

“With the first full month of fuel consumption reported we are pleased with the 7.5 Imperial mpg as an average across the five trucks. The mileage on the vehicles range from 29,000 to 39,000 kilometres, as of today. By the second week of January I will have a better feel and more data to give a clear picture of driver acceptance and operational performance.”
I’ll check back in with Jim in January and provide a further update.

This ProStar will make deliveries in Northern Ontario and Western Canada.
