Western Women with Drive returns to Calgary in April

Trucking HR Canada (THRC) has announced the return of Western Women with Drive, set for April 30 at the Calgary Airport Marriott Hotel.

Western Women with Drive, hosted annually since 2015, is one of the key gatherings for Western Canada’s trucking and logistics leaders. It offers networking and professional development opportunities for individuals dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion in the workforce.

Held in partnership with the Alberta Motor Transport Association, British Columbia Trucking Association, Manitoba Trucking Association, and Saskatchewan Trucking Association, the event will feature internationally renowned psychologist and bestselling author Jody Carrington as keynote speaker.

Carrington, known for her expertise in human connection and resilience, is known for her engaging presentations and actionable insights, THRC says. According to a news release, she will inspire attendees to address workforce challenges with confidence and compassion.

““We are moving the needle in attracting and retaining more women in our sector – and there is still more to do,” says Angela Splinter, chief executive officer of Trucking HR Canada, in a release. “We are proud of this collaborative effort… in maintaining momentum with the Women with Drive initiative.”
