Aperia launches new tire management tools
Aperia Technologies is offering fleets new capabilities to track and manage trailer tires through Halo Trailer Connect, launched at the spring meeting of the Technology & Maintenance Council.
Like Halo Tractor Connect, its trailer counterpart uses machine learning to assess overall tire and wheel-end health, detect potential issues by tire position, and grade them by severity. It comes standard with features that: predict tire health and offer recommendations; track trailer locations; integrate with Halo Tractor Connect so fleets can use one tool to measure both truck and trailer tires; and is compatible with other tire inflation systems, in addition to the Halo Tire Inflator.
Shipments of Halo Trailer Connect will begin in the third quarter, with orders being taken now.
Also at TMC, Aperia launched Halo Tire Management.
“Halo Tire Management delivers fleets the most value for each unique application,” said Judith Monte, vice-president of marketing and customer success at Aperia Technologies. “Whether a fleet needs to automate tire pressure, detect tire leaks or assess tire tread, load, and vibration, Aperia will customize a solution to address each unique set of challenges.”
The platform provides: tire pressure management, automating tire pressures; tire analytics from cradle to grave, documenting leaks and severity and offering advice on how much life is left in the tires; and the ability to integrate with any number of platforms.
Halo Tire Management is billed as a “comprehensive suite of tire management solutions that can be tailored to each fleet’s needs” while Halo Trailer Connect is “a tool in Aperia’s tire management tool box enabling fleets to put all tires on a vehicle under management with a single tool.”
