Aperia Technologies adds tread diagnostics to Halo Connect i3 system
Aperia Technologies has introduced new features to its Halo Connect i3 system, enhancing tire management for medium- and heavy-duty truck fleets. The system now includes a tire tread diagnostics suite and the ability to remotely adjust tire pressure set points to improve safety, fleet uptime, and efficiency.
The tread diagnostics suite provides proactive tire service recommendations based on analyzed tread depth data, according to a release. The system can accept data from manual measurements or drive-over readers, to forecast tire wear and recommend service when pull points are reached. Aperia also offers a laser-based 3D tread scanner, which detects issues like irregular or excessive tire wear, mismatched tires, and alignment problems.
Fleet managers can now remotely adjust tire pressure set points through the Halo Connect i3 system. This allows for adjustments based on factors like seasonal temperature changes or truck load weights, optimizing tire performance across different conditions. The feature also simplifies post-tire-change adjustments, ensuring that newly installed tires are set to the correct pressure.
The tread diagnostics suite is currently available to select pilot customers and will be widely available in December through the Halo Tech App, which allows technicians to access real-time tire health data via mobile devices or web browsers.
