Attrix and Samsung Electronics Canada have brought to market the Galaxy Tab Active 5 tablet, as part of the Attrix DX Driver Terminal product line.

Attrix launched the new tablet at Truck World this week, touting its ruggedness. It can be used with gloves on and can withstand dusty or frigid conditions, the company says.

Transport Grayson has been using the tablet.

“The transition to Samsung Tab Active tablets marked a decisive turning point for our company,” said Serge Lehoux, user support at Transport Grayson. “The exceptional reliability and robustness of these devices have enabled us to make significant advances in terms of productivity and reducing the time previously spent resolving technical problems. Thanks to their superior resistance to shock and vibration, as well as their ability to operate in extreme weather conditions and at low temperatures, Samsung Tab Active devices have established themselves as essential tools for the trucking industry. They guarantee flawless performance, even in the most demanding environments, making them reliable and essential partners on the road.”

Attrix says the Tab Active 5 is fully compatible with previous docking stations and accessories. The company says it’s the only Samsung-recommended managed service provider in Canada.

“As a steadfast partner of Samsung Canada, we have witnessed the remarkable impact of the Tab Active series on our clients’ satisfaction over the years. These tablets have consistently demonstrated extraordinary durability and resilience under the most demanding conditions, maintaining an impressively low defect ratio rarely seen in such products,” said Anthony Mainville, president and founder of Attrix.

“Additionally, features like the S Pen and the ability to operate in rainy conditions with gloves have proven essential for our industry. We are immensely proud of our longstanding relationship with Samsung Canada and the significant role we have played in the success of the Tab Active series. This partnership continues to be a cornerstone of our operational excellence and customer satisfaction strategy.”

The tablet is available beginning this month.
