Banyan, Optym platforms to help LTL carriers act on empty lanes

by Today's Trucking

Banyan Technology’s Intelligent Pricing Suite and Optym’s HaulPlan planning and optimization software have come together to help LTL carriers identify lanes that need more volume and fill the related equipment at a one-time determined rate.

While LTL carriers have data about empty or partially full lanes, they can struggle to take action when shipper pricing is based on annual contracts, the companies say.

The businesses already share LTL customers.

Through the solutions, carriers will be able to better integrate with shippers, giving the operations department a way to anticipate capacity and act on opportunities through the Intelligent Pricing Suite.
