Bridgestone launches W920 tire
Bridgestone Americas has introduced the new Bridgestone W920, an all-weather tandem-axle radial drive tire designed for year-round use in trucking fleets.
The tire features the company’s Enliten technology, developed to extend tire life, maximize traction, and support sustainability goals, according to a news release. The W920 is the third commercial truck tire with Enliten technology launched by Bridgestone in 2025 and builds on the Bridgestone W919 with several enhancements.
The tire is Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certified for dependable traction in rain and snow. It delivers 6% longer wear life, which is projected to provide 10,000 more miles (16,000 kilometers) on average, compared to the Michelin XDS 2, the company claims.
A non-directional tread pattern pf W920 simplifies mounting, rotation, and management, while enhanced stone rejector platforms, full-depth sipes, and specialized tread compounds offer improved all-weather performance. The W920 also features a premium casing designed for multiple retread cycles, the release reads.
“Weather plays a significant role in every fleet’s journey. Our aim with the W920 is to mitigate risks and elements that weather brings to the road and give drivers more confidence in these uncertain conditions,” said Brad Booth, director of Canadian commercial sales at Bridgestone Americas.
The tire is manufactured at Bridgestone’s Warren County Plant in Tennessee and will launch in the 11R22.5 size, with additional sizes expected in 2026.
