Carrier Logistics launches AI BOL extraction tool
Carrier Logistics has launched a new AI-powered tool that automates the extraction of shipment information from Bills of Lading (BOLs), helping less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers reduce manual data entry and improve operational efficiency.
The new AI BOL Extraction module integrates directly with CLI’s FACTS freight management platform, creating or updating shipments in real time. By automating a traditionally manual process, the tool improves data accuracy, reduces delays, and streamlines key operations, the company claims in a news release.

“This technology directly addresses one of the most persistent challenges in our industry—capturing critical shipment data quickly and accurately,” said Ben Wiesen, president of Carrier Logistics. “With this AI-powered module, we’re delivering a real-world solution that drives measurable value.”
According to CLI, the module automates BOL processing, lowers discrepancies and rework, and improves execution timelines by enabling faster data flow into the system.
FACTS is Carrier Logistics’ freight and transportation management system for asset-based LTL carriers and last-mile providers. The company says the new AI enhancement is part of its strategy to boost productivity and reduce costs while improving real-time visibility for shippers.
