Crown Data Systems rolls out AI Alerts
Air freight trucking software provider Crown Data Systems introduced AI Alerts, a feature in its Crown Freight Manager platform that automates the manual process of entering shipment information received from forwarders and shippers.
According to the company, cartage agents can use the tool to pull email shipment alerts and bills of lading directly into the system, reducing or removing manual data entry and potentially saving several hours a day.

By using AI to read documents such as house air waybills, the feature is designed to prevent errors when entering reference numbers and addresses, which can affect route planning, billing and EDI transmissions. The company said AI Alerts can automate steps ranging from order entry to billing.
The tool eliminates manual order entry, uploads paperwork into shipment records for automated proof-of-delivery collection through the CrownX Driver application and improves accuracy as it processes more shipment data.
