Dana has launched a new Spicer AdvanTEK 40 Pro axle system for improved durability and optimized performance, with a 2.05 axle ratio for extreme downspeeding.

The 40,000-lb. 6×4 tandem axle system features the fastest axle ratio, which increases efficiency for fleets wanting maximum downspeeding.

“The new AdvanTEK 40 Pro axle system is a testament to our focus on developing high-performance solutions that deliver tangible benefits for today’s professional fleets,” said Brian Pour, senior vice-president and president of commercial vehicle drive and motion systems at Dana. “Advanced design features ensure the ideal balance of efficiency and durability with package flexibility to adapt to unique operational demands.”

Features of the new system include: 18 total axle ratios; a high-capacity bearing system enabling fast ratios and increased torque throughout the system; increased weight capacity for improved payload; an inter-axle differential with advanced coatings to better retain lubricant; driver-controlled differential locking; and an optional lube pump to circulate the lubricant in critical areas during extreme conditions.

The new system will be available in OEMs’ 2025 data books, Dana said.
