Denso adds to alternator lineup

by Today's Trucking

Denso’s J180 mount alternator has been added to the company’s lineup of 12-volt, 170-amp 24PE alternators.

A square wire copper stator, known as the segment conductor, helps the PowerEdge component deliver higher amps at idle and cruising speeds. And a remote sense function is also standard, allowing batteries to recharge faster after start-up and extending battery life, the company says.

The PowerEdge brand now includes 18 part numbers of replacement starters and alternators, with electrical parts covering Class 8 nameplates including Freightliner, Hino, International, Kenworth, Mack, Peterbilt, Sterling, Volvo and Western Star.

The PowerEdge products are backed by a one-year/unlimited mileage warranty.
