Eaton Cummins introduces Endurant HD V transmission

Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies is expanding its Endurant transmission lineup with the new Endurant HD V model, designed specifically for vocational truck applications.

The transmission supports gross combination weight ratings of up to 70,000 pounds (32,000 kg) and is compatible with 9-liter, 11-liter, and the upcoming Cummins X10 engines. It also handles engine torque up to 1,700 lbs.-ft.

Key features include an extreme duty clutch for improved low-speed maneuvering, a rock free mode for unsticking trucks in mud or sand, and an off-highway mode that automatically adjusts performance for varying soil conditions, and the transmission also offers dual power takeoff (PTO) openings to drive hydraulic systems, according to a news release.
