Espar Air Heater Burns NG

Espar North America has introduced the newly developed Airtronic NG Commercial. This air heater burns natural gas, either CNG or LNG. It’s a first for commercial trucks.

Espar worked in co-operation with the German company Truma Gerätetechnik to develop the new heater, using existing and proven Truma technology. The latter company, says Espar, is the leading manufacturer in Europe of gas-fuelled heating systems in the leisure vehicle/motor home and caravan sector and has “decades of know-how in developing and manufacturing gas auxiliary heaters in commercial vehicles.”

The Airtronic NG Commercial is designed for CNG and LNG-fuelled commercial vehicles in on-road and off-road operation. The key advantage is that, compared to previous heaters, in this case both engine and heating fuel can now be supplied from just one tank. This saves valuable installation space and makes the installation easier for OEMs and retrofitters – with noticeably lower installation costs.
