Heliox introduces VersiCharge Blue 80A EV charger
Heliox announced it has launched its VersiCharge Blue 80A Level 2 charger as a high-capacity charging option for fleet and commercial electric vehicle operations.
Designed for demanding fleet environments, the VersiCharge Blue 80A delivers up to 80 amps (19.2 kW) of AC power through a J1772 connector and a 24-foot cable, and is compatible with most electric vehicles, including trucks and school buses, the company said in a news release.
The charger is Buy America compliant and Energy Star certified, Heliox says, adding that it is backed by a three-year warranty.

VersiCharge Blue 80A is also designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -40 C to 50 C, with derating above that range. The company also claims that the charger can function reliably in environments with up to 98% humidity.
The charging features include ISO15118-2 hardware readiness and OCPP 1.6J support, enabling advanced load management, authentication, security, and future compatibility, while Sifinity Setup mobile app configuration simplifies multi-charger installations.
The charger includes embedded energy metering to help operators track usage and manage costs, along with over-the-air software update capability. Built-in ground fault and overvoltage protection shield both users and vehicles against electrical risks, while multicolor LED indicators provide instant feedback on charging status, connectivity, and fault diagnostics to streamline site management.
The charger operates at altitudes up to 6,562 feet, expanding site possibilities in high-elevation regions, and customizable mounting options ensure seamless integration in different location types.
