Heliox a Siemens business, has introduced a 44-kW vehicle-to-grid (V2G) DC fast charger designed to support fleet electrification and bidirectional energy management.

The Heliox 44 kW V2G provides bidirectional charging and discharging capability for fleets allowing vehicles to return energy to the grid and lower operational costs. The charger enables fast, efficient transitions for high-utilization fleets, optimizing uptime while supporting both networked and standalone operations.

The company said in a news release that flexible AC input settings range from 15A to 56A, enabling deployment even in locations with limited power supply.

It is housed in a NEMA 3R-rated enclosure for indoor or outdoor use and can be wall-mounted or installed on a pedestal, depending on the site and its operational requirements. The charger also features an LED indicating real-time EV state of charge and a 7-inch LCD display for charging session information.

Two cable lengths are available — five and seven meters — and the system supports Ethernet and 4G cellular connectivity. The charger also has communication features such as OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1, ready for 2.1.

The company adds that the charger is suitable for operations in environments ranging from –22F (-30C) to 122F (50C) and up to 2,000 metres in elevation.
