The Sumo HP HV900 is a new motor/generator and inverter offers 190 kilowatts of continuous power and 675 lb-ft of torque in a package that’s only 200 millimeters long.

Designed for series and parallel-hybrid configurations, it can be coupled with diesel engines, multi-speed gearboxes, or integrated to axles for ultra-low-floor buses, the company says.

TM4 offers the device with its three-phase CO150 inverter.

A compact gen-set can be a key tool when looking to electrify urban delivery trucks, inter-city buses, and even long-haul trucks, the company says. Combining the electric traction system, optimized gen-set, and electrified accessories can improve fuel economy at least 50% when compared to a diesel-powered vehicle, the company adds.
