by Today's Trucking

Nexiq Technologies has released eTechnician 2.9, enabling the PC-based offering to provide bidirectional diagnostic support for Detroit Diesel engines through Model Year 2024.

“In addition to providing technicians with the comprehensive diagnostic support they’ve come to expect with eTechnician software, our latest update features support for changeable parameters, including the ability to adjust maximum speed and idle shutdown settings on the newest engines,” said David Shock, Nexiq Technologies product manager. “It’s also important to note that once repairs have been completed, eTechnician 2.9 provides technicians with a test to clear aftertreatment derate.”

eTechnician software offers diagnostic capabilities for Class 8 and smaller engines, transmissions, brakes, bodies, chassis and more.
