PulsePro offers pulsating trailer lights while braking

PulsePro Safety Lighting has announced availability of a brake-activated pulsating light adapter for tractor-trailers.

The company says brake-activated light systems have been proven to reduce rear-end collisions by more than 30%.

“Unfortunately, existing systems are costly to install and have been found non-compliant with certain federal, provincial and state laws,” the company said in a release. “The PulsePro eliminates these issues with a cost-effective plug-and-play adapter that mounts on the truck’s deck plate and is fully compliant.”

The PulsePro is plugged into the truck’s 7-pin connector, then the trailer cable is connected to the PulsePro. When the brake is applied, the turn signals on any trailer coupled with a PulsePro-equipped truck will pulse rapidly for one second.

“I immediately noticed that people driving behind me gave me more clearance after the PulsePro was installed on my truck,” said Veilleux Transport driver Mario Charlebois.
