ROI Cabmate hits the aftermarket

by Today's Trucking

Link Mfg. is now offering ROI Cabmate Semi-Active Cab Suspension aftermarket kits for sleeper cab versions of the Freightliner Cascadia, Kenworth T680, International LT Series, Peterbilt Model 579, and Volvo VNL and VNR.

The ROI Cabmate adapts to surface and load conditions, drawing on data from an accelerometer that monitors cab motion, and a position sensor that measures the cab’s position and velocity relative to the frame. The system then responds by adjusting the shock absorber’s stiffness.

The result, Link says, is improved ride comfort and cab stability, combined with lower noise and vibration.

The system counteracts the effects of wind sheer or turbulence from other vehicles as well.

The components also include an electronic height control feature that doesn’t fill or exhaust air in response to suspension motion, minimizing air consumption when compared to standard height control valves.

The aftermarket kits come complete with required hardware and installation instructions.
