Shur-Co updates rear lock on ShurTite tarping system
Shur-Co has introduced a near rear lock for its ShurTite retractable tarping system.
The company says the new lock adds durability to the tarping system and easily flips out of the way and travels with the rear bow. It replaces ShurTite’s previous steel Aframe bracing structure, which was stationary.

The new low-profile lock also increases rear deck space so truckers can more easily load from front to rear without removing heavy bracing for loading and unloading. It also reduces weight by up to 80 lb.
“We’re thrilled with the improved rear lock, which offers the best loading clearance in the market among retractable tarping systems,” said Jeff Boyd, vice-president of flatbed sales. “Without the need to remove heavy braces, it’s faster to operate and optimizes rear trailer loading space.”
