Snap-on launches Pro-Link+ diagnostic system
Snap-on has introduced Pro-Link+, a diagnostic system for Class 1-8 commercial vehicles, offering OEM-level coverage and code-based troubleshooting in a handheld device.
The system provides a direct path from fault code detection to repair, with step-by-step troubleshooting routines, component and connector photos, fault-specific wiring diagrams, and remove-and-install instructions—all accessible without leaving the vehicle, the company said in a news release, adding the system supports wired and wireless connections and has been validated by ‘all major OEMs’.

Designed for the demands of commercial vehicle service, Pro-Link+ features a 12-inch touchscreen, 9-hour battery life, and integrated camera. There is a USB-C port for charging and connection to a monitor or external devices and two USB 3.0 ports for peripherals. An internal microphone and stereo speakers are built in. The power-saving mode with 5-second startup makes getting to work fast and the open Windows system allows user-installed software, access to web browsers, and application multi-tasking.
The system offers live data graphing, component failure testing, and the ability to adjust more than 600 parameters, including cruise control and engine idle shutdown settings. It also includes more than 200 OEM special tests, such as DPF regens, cylinder cutouts, and fuel system leakage tests, giving technicians access to advanced diagnostic capabilities.
Snap-on says in the release the new system helps technicians cut vehicle downtime by providing fast, comprehensive diagnostic and repair information in a single platform, reducing unnecessary service hours and getting trucks back on the road faster.
