Telus, BSM sign satellite tracking pact

WOODBRIDGE, Ont. — BSM Technologies, a provider of high security and tracking technology for fleets, has announced an agreement with Telus for the availability of BSM Wireless AVL and secure Fleet Management Solution.

The solution offers true dual mode communications (1X/satellite or 1X standalone) for vehicle tracking.

“This exciting achievement of certification on the Telus1X network will permit both organizations the opportunity to offer our mutual clients best of breed in the AVL marketing space in all vertical sectors,” said Nick Cirella, president and CEO of BSM, in a statement. “This certification reaffirms BSM’s commitment to grow its core markets by strengthening and expanding its distribution channels with world class partners.”

BSM is providing Telus sales and marketing team members and channel partners with regional training seminars and access to their own BSM demonstration site.

“As part of a test bed for connectivity and performance during the certification process, BSM and Telus worked together by implementing the SentinelFM solution in high-profile cartage, construction and oil and gas companies,” said Michael Bookbinder, director of sales at BSM Wireless.
