Telus, Powerfleet launch AI-powered Vision 360 for Canadian fleets
Telus and Powerfleet have partnered to introduce an AI-powered vehicle safety system for Canadian fleets.
Vision 360, a multi-camera safety platform designed to provide drivers with a real-time 360-degree view around the vehicle while identifying pedestrians, cyclists and other hazards. The system combines Powerfleet’s AI-powered video telematics with Telus connectivity infrastructure.
The platform provides real-time driver alerts and is designed to improve visibility around blind spots and other high-risk areas.
Even though the Vision 360 launch comes as new federal school bus visibility requirements approach, the system is designed for all commercial vehicles — including trucks — and industries where blind-spot-related incidents are common, a Telus spokesperson told trucknews.com.

According to Powerfleet, the technology can reduce collision incidents by up to 60%, while also lowering insurance and claims-related costs.
“Our customers need proactive tools to navigate an evolving safety landscape,” said Jodi Baxter, vice president of AI, Wireless and IoT at Telus. “By partnering with Powerfleet to add Vision 360 to our connected fleet and asset portfolio, we’re enhancing our telematics offering with AI-driven insights. This launch is a direct response to the needs of Canadian fleet owners who prioritize safety and operational efficiency.”
