Trailer support at the push of a button
Ideal Warehouse Innovations’ Ground-Mounted Trailer Support (GMTS) offers some valuable support for trailers in the name of providing safer loading and unloading activities.
The system – positioned under a trailer’s nose — can be deployed at the push of a button from inside the loading dock area, rising to support the trailer from below.
The GMTS was built for busy dock environments where traffic would typically put yard workers at risk, and that’s why it is operated from inside the loading dock area rather than being manually deployed, the company says.
There’s no worry about landing gear failing under the stress of imbalanced weights caused by loaded forklifts.
