Arkansas Highway Patrol places 30 drivers out of service during blitz
Arkansas Highway Police wrapped up a three-day commercial vehicle safety blitz at the I-30 weigh station in Benton, placing 30 drivers out of service.
The force conducted 107 inspections and discovered 78 violations between Dec. 9-11, it reported on Facebook.
Inspectors said they were focused on: driving logs and hours-of-service compliance: CDL verification; English language proficiency requirements; and ACT 604 documentation for out-of-country drivers.
“Our main focus during this three-day enforcement was getting unsafe drivers off the highways of the State of Arkansas while ensuring that all motorists traveling through our state can get where they need to go safely. We look forward to continuing this initiative!” AHP said in its post.
