ITD installs high-end A400 ABB E-mobility charger
ITD Industries last week celebrated the commissioning of what it claims is the first A400 all-in-one charger in North America.
The ABB E-mobility A400 charger sets a new standard in charge time and reliability, claims ITD, which it installed at its Etobicoke, Ont., headquarters.

“By targeting the highest uptime and charging success rates with the A400, we are establishing a new, higher industry standard and redefining what’s possible. Together with our partners ITD Industries, we are deploying North America’s first A400 and delivering the most advanced, seamless and reliable solutions available,” said Brandt Hastings, president of North America for ABB E-mobility.
The charger will provide ABB with field testing data as it supports ITD’s fleet operations. ITD is the Canadian dealer for Nikola Motors and Zo Motors and wanted a fast charging option at its facility to support those vehicles.
“As part of our strategic plan to supply our fleet customers with best-in-class zero emissions trucks, our partnership with ABB E-mobility puts us on the leading edge of fast charging technology which will help to accelerate adoption of EVs in Canada’s trucking market,” said Philip Turi, COO at ITD Industries.
ITD is currently selling Nikola trucks out of its Etobicoke showroom, and will assemble Classes 4-5 electric trucks there beginning in 2026.
