Isaac Instruments has signed an agreement with Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) to use Freightliner and Western Star trucks’ built-in connected telematics platform to connect the Isaac system, according to a news release.

Engineers from both companies will develop a joint solution intended to improve the installation process and create a built-in experience for drivers. The collaboration pairs DTNA’s engineering capabilities with Isaac’s 25 years of experience in vehicle telemetry and trucking operations across North America.

Jacques DeLarochelliere, CEO and co-founder of Isaac, said the partnership will help simplify trucking operations for fleets. “Daimler’s technologically advanced technology and innovative spirit are a perfect fit with Isaac’s culture and mission,” he said.

The agreement expands Isaac’s open platform approach beyond third-party apps and software providers to include original equipment manufacturers. The goal is to maintain long-term adaptability for fleets operating Freightliner and Western Star trucks while reinforcing Isaac’s focus on open, scalable technology.
