APTA, Trailer Wizards donate to Trucks for Change Network

DIEPPE, N.B. – The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA) and Trailer Wizards have donated more than $17,000 to Trucks for Change Network.

Trucks for Change provides a charity-load posting tool that enables member carriers to donate available truck capacity to charities.

“The trucking industry has always actively supported charities. Our job is to make the process more efficient by finding the right carrier with the right equipment in the right place to help,” said Trucks For Change Network president, Pete Dalmazzi. “Finding affordable transportation often makes the difference between a charity accepting donated goods or having them end up in landfill sites, so there’s an environmental benefit as well.”

Jean-Marc Picard, APTA’s executive director, added: “Trucks for Change’s goals are consistent with APTA’s goals of promoting an environmentally and socially responsible commercial trucking industry in Atlantic Canada. We are thrilled to support T4C’s efforts and encourage our members to participate.”
