Bangston named president, CEO of Daimler Truck Financial Services North America
Kevin Bangston has been appointed president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Daimler Truck Financial Services North America — effective Sept. 1, 2024 — succeeding Richard Howard who will retire after 31 years with the company.
Bangston will transition from his current roles as president and CEO of Thomas Built Buses and CEO of Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry and will oversee the operations of Daimler Truck Financial Services in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
His career at Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) began in 2001, and he has held various corporate finance positions before advancing to international leadership roles in Germany, Indonesia, and Japan.
“Kevin’s proven leadership track record and broad experience across both DTNA and the larger Daimler Truck organization position him well for success in his new role,” said John O’Leary, president and CEO of DTNA. “We look forward to having him on our DTNA operating committee and working together to continue providing our customers and dealers with the industry-leading service and support they expect and deserve.”
