KISSIMMEE, FL – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has recognized several Canadian fleets with SmartWay Excellence Award, which honors environmental performance.

Recognized fleets included Airtime Express (Ontario), Arrow Transportation (British Columbia), Bison Transport (Manitoba), CAT (Quebec), and Challenger Motor Freight (Ontario).

Large and small fleets alike were recognized within 13 fleet categories, based on SmartWay data.

More than 3,000 companies and organizations participate in the SmartWay program itself.

The voluntary public-private program was launched in 2004 and offers a system to track, document and share information about fuel use and emissions.
