Gin-Cor acquires JC Trailers Design and Fabrication

by Today's Trucking Staff

MATTAWA, ON — Gin-Cor Group — known for building vocational severe-service vehicles — has acquired Keswick, Ontario-based JC Trailers Design and Fabrication, which specializes in customized heavy-haul trailers and other specialty products.

John Csiki founded JC Trailers in 1965 with his wife Helga. Its product line ranges from tag-along trailers to 100-ton and 13-axle units.

“We look forward to working with the talented team at JC to carry forward the tradition of high-quality products and services that clients have enjoyed for some 50 years,” says Luc Stang, president and CEO of Gin-Cor.

Gin-Cor has been building vocational and severe-service trucks since 1978, when Robert Corriveau, Philippe Gingras and Louis Gingras began providing welding fabrication and repair services. Truck body sales and installation were added to the portfolio in 1986, when the business still known as Gingras Corriveau began distributing Bibeau dump bodies.

Stang, Bob Corriveau’s nephew, purchased Gingras Corriveau in late 2002, changing the company name to Gin-Cor Industries.
