TORONTO, ON – Hannover Fairs (Canada), a subsidiary of Deutsche Messe, has acquired 50% of the Truck World commercial vehicle show from Newcom Business Media.

The two companies will jointly organize the biennial shows through the Truck World Show Partnership, although Newcom will continue to manage the event. The next scheduled show is set for April 19-21, 2018 in Toronto.

Newcom Business Media also publishes magazines including Today’s Trucking, Transport Routier, Truck News, and TruckandTrailer, among others.

“This partnership is a strategic business initiative for Hannover Fairs and Deutsche Messe in the North American commercial vehicle space,” said Larry Turner, president and CEO of Hannover Fairs. “The goal of this long-term partnership is to expand Truck World’s global reach by leveraging the success of Deutsche Messe’s worldwide portfolio of commercial vehicle shows, including the recently announced North American Commercial Vehicle Show (NACV Show) being jointly developed by Newcom and Hannover Fairs.”

“Truck World is Canada’s largest trade show for the trucking industry, combining two days of business with an owner-operator/driver component,” said Jim Glionna, Newcom founder and chairman. “Partnering with Hannover Fairs to co-organize Truck World, as well as the Atlanta-based NACV Show brings a wealth of new business and networking opportunities for all of our events’ attendees and exhibitors.”
