Harmon president of GCR Tires and Services

NASHVILLE, TN – Bridgestone Americas has named Damien Harmon as the president of GCR Tires and Services, effective November 1.

The current Chief Operating Officer – Bridgestone Retail Operations succeeds John Vasuta, who was named senior vice president – global sales, Firestone Building Products.

Harmon will be responsible for GCR commercial tire and service store locations in North America. He joined Bridgestone in June 2014 as vice president – operations for BSRO, and recently was promoted to COO in a role that had him leading service capability, customer retention, information technology, training, and business development for the company’s 2,200 consumer tire and automotive service locations.

Before joining Bridgestone, Harmon spent nine years at Best Buy, where he developed business strategy, merchandising and marketing programming, and vendor relationships.

GCR has about 200 store locations and 1,500 service vehicles, with more than 3,000 employees.
