LanOTR, a Quebec-based tire retreading and repair company, has acquired Rechapage Global, a commercial tire retreading facility in Lévis, Que. The plant will now operate under the new name, GlobalECO, marking LanOTR’s expansion into the heavy-duty trucking market.

With this acquisition, LanOTR says it aims to provide truckers with a cost-effective retreading solution that delivers performance comparable to new brand-name tires at a lower cost.

“GlobalECO reflects our commitment to offer high-performance, reliable tires that meet carriers’ requirements while optimizing their costs,” said Daniel Marleau, chief executive officer of LanOTR, in a news release. “This acquisition brings us one step closer to our vision of creating an accessible and reliable retreading model to reduce the tire industry’s environmental impact.”

The integration of GlobalECO also combines 85 years of technical expertise between the two companies, enabling the new division to serve customers across Eastern Canada.
