TORONTO, ON – Stephen Laskowski has officially been named president of the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) as David Bradley prepares for his retirement at the end of 2017.

The appointment was made last week during the alliance’s annual board meeting in Arizona. Laskowski has been senior vice president for several years.

“This announcement is the next step in the process that was launched last fall,” said Bradley, who will remain Chief Executive Officer until the end of his tenure.

“We are fortunate to have someone like Stephen, with his experience and drive, already in the fold and ready to step up and assume responsibility for leading CTA into the future,” said Gene Orlick, chairman of the alliance and president of Calgary-based Orlick Transport.

Laskowski was previously named president of the Ontario Trucking Association, where he is also Bradley’s named successor.
