ORLANDO, FL – Dave Manning, the president of Tennessee-based TCW, has been named chairman of the American Trucking Associations.

Manning replaces Kevin Burch, president of Jet Express, in the role.

Dave has a strong and steady voice for our industry,” said Chris Spear, president and Chief Executive Officer. “He will be an outstanding representative for our industry.”

Manning has been an executive with TCW since 1985, when it was a single-terminal operation. It now has more than 600 employees across the southeastern United States. At the American Trucking Associations he has led the Intermodal Carrier Conference and was chairman of the Tennessee Trucking Association’s political action committee.

He has also served as past chairman of the Intermodal Association of North America, been on the board of the Intermodal Interchange Executive Committee, and been chairman of the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative.

The American Trucking Associations also elected Barry Pottle, CEO of Pottle’s Transportation, as first vice chairman and Randy Guillot, president of Triple G Express, as second vice chairman. Sherri Garner Brumbaugh, president and CEO of Garner Transportation, and Harold Summerford Jr., Chief Executive Officer of J&M Tank Lines, are vice chairmen.
