Murphy named president of Alcoa Wheel and Transportation

CLEVELAND, OH – Merrick Murphy has been named president of Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products, reporting to Tim Myers who has recently been named group president of Alcoa Transportation and Construction Solutions.

“From sales to operations, he has served in nearly every part of the Wheels business, playing an integral role in its success over the years. I look forward to seeing Merrick build on this strong foundation in the years to come,” Myers said.

Murphy was recently vice president and general manager of Alcoa’s commercial vehicle wheel business in the Asia Pacific region. He had earlier held the same position in the Americas. The role involved overseeing the business unit’s regional operations, sales, distribution and growth.

Murphy will be based in the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters of Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products.
